Alma TED Hair Restoration: What the Treatment Does and Who May Benefit
Updated: Sep 27
Hair loss is not one diagnosis. Genetics, hormones, nutrition, medications, autoimmune disease, scalp conditions, stress, illness, and other medical factors can all contribute.
That is why a hair-restoration treatment should never replace an appropriate evaluation.
What Alma TED does
Alma TED is a needle-free device that uses ultrasound and air pressure as part of a scalp treatment designed to support delivery of a topical hair-care solution.
Who may be a candidate
TED may be considered for selected patients with hair thinning who prefer a non-surgical, needle-free approach. Candidacy depends on the pattern and suspected cause of hair loss, scalp condition, health history, and treatment goals.
What it does not do
TED does not diagnose hair loss, correct every underlying cause, or guarantee new hair growth. Someone with iron deficiency, thyroid disease, alopecia areata, scarring alopecia, medication-related shedding, or another medical cause may need a different evaluation or treatment plan.
What to expect
The treatment does not use scalp injections or incisions. Individual comfort, scalp response, and results vary. Hair changes also take time because hair growth occurs in cycles.
The bottom line
For the right patient, TED can be one part of a hair-restoration plan. The first question should still be “Why is the hair thinning?” before deciding what treatment makes sense.
